Precision Icon Pink Blackberry Curve Theme

The original Precision Icon Theme has been a hit with those that truly want a clean simple interface for their Blackberry. This variation focuses on the same design with a huge PINK element. The focus icon all the way to the text and menus are pink, pink, and more pink! This is an Icon Style theme for all Blackberry Curves running the 4.5 OS. Themes and Icons

I have been curious for a while now how people feel about icons. I am always torn between how I feel personally about icons and how I feel as a theme designer. As I designer I feel that I should continue to create new and visually exciting icons to coordinate with new themes to keep my customer base interested in my product. However when it comes to use(and believe me I use it A LOT!) Nothing pisses me off more than staring at my phone trying to figure out where in the HELL the options icon is so I can switch back to a theme with a familiar wrench awaiting me. Ever since R.I.M. redesigned the standard icon set, I have a tendency to use the Precision icons for a lot of my themes. I am a huge fan of clean precise function in my themes, and I realize by designing the way I do that I will most definitely exclude some theme hunters but I feel that the people who appreciate my themes will be the real tried and true bb users the kind that have their pin tattooed somewhere on their body. I would love some feedback on the subject, so users let me know what you think!

Changing gears

I have decided to change the tone of this blog. It started as part of our seo formula to gain inbound links but isn't entirely necessary at this point so I am going to use this as my blog to discuss things in the blackberry sphere that is my life. I love discussion so feel free to comment and be involved.

Hot New Theme Site

This Article brought to you from Blackberry Underground's Blog

We all have a favorite blackberry site. For some people it is Crackberry, while others prefer PinStack. When it comes to themes though sometimes these sites can be a little murky to navigate through, you might spend hours trolling through forum posts and never find what you are looking for. There are several sites where you can go pay premium price for a premium theme(which you may or may not like). I can't tell you how many times I have seen a forum post stating that the user had willingly paid $7 for the notorious crossbar theme, only to delete it 10 minutes later because it didn't make their blackberry user experience functional.

I have recently noticed a new theme site emerging that seems intent on changing the game for premium themes. http://www.blackberrythemepark.com has created a theme site with a subscription theme service. For only $19.95 a year you can download unlimited themes. I find this prospect hard to beat, it would only take purchasing 2 or 3 premium themes from any of numerous sites to spend that amount. Another aspect of this site that I find appealing is that they recently started posting videos for all of their themes. The video gives you an in depth view of how the theme operates before you ever download it. If you just want to test drive a single theme, they offer all of their premium themes for a mere $2.99. I have personally tried out several of their themes and one thing that I noticed right away compared to a lot of other "premium" themes I have bought in the past is that these themes go deep! It is obvious that a great amount of care and time is out into each theme. Another nice feature is that their themes work! There is nothing quite as frustrating as getting a theme you've just been dying to try and finding out that it doesn't navigate properly rendering it useless or too irritating to tolerate. So if you love changing your theme all the time but don't want to keep pouring money on it, I suggest you check out Blackberry Theme Park!
